For some years now, data protection has been a top priority in Germany, and by no means just on the Internet. And rightly so. After all, who hasn't experienced unsolicited advertising calls, e-mails or deliveries, which can be really intrusive and ‘annoying’.

At Sport & Mode Kessler, we don't just provide data protection in the form of a corresponding information page. Instead, we have analysed our business and technical processes in detail and always questioned where which information is really needed. Unfortunately, our specific activity as a sports equipment rental company means that we sometimes have to request personal data both in-store and online.  We are happy to explain why we (have to) do this and how we handle your data here.

While ‘normal’ shopping in a typical online shop is usually quite quick and easy, online booking of sports equipment for hire is (unfortunately) much more time-consuming. Nevertheless, we try to guide you through the online booking process simply and clearly wherever possible to save time and make it easier for you. 

For example, you can book all the sports equipment you need for a whole group of people, i.e. your family, friends or company. In addition, ‘operational safety’ plays a very important role: if we hand out the wrong skis, an accident is almost inevitable. Accordingly, we have to ask for a lot of additional information (individually for each item, of course).

And yes. Then, of course, there are the normal questions in which we are no different from anyone else, but which we also have to answer properly. And want to. For example, is it possible to cancel a booking? Are there certain aspects that may lead to a discount? What happens in the hopefully never occurring case of damage? Or if a piste rowdie steals your left ski?

Sport & Mode Kessler is so much more than just a sports equipment hire or shop. Our aim is to offer you pretty much everything you need for your experience in the mountains, whether it's winter sports, hiking or biking. That's why you don't just get equipment from us, but can also book courses, ski passes, your depot and much more besides. Everything from a single source, uncomplicated and fast - after all, you want to get up the mountain.

We also offer what others in Kleinwalsertal do not. For example, we are the only rental company in the valley that is also there for you on Sundays during the summer season, and we not only fit the ski boots you buy from us, but also sharpen and wax your rental skis free of charge during your holiday if your existing boots are pinched. 

What's more, we offer you the option of booking your appointment online in advance, e.g. for boot fitting, so that you can plan your time on holiday to suit you. This guarantees that we have plenty of time for you and you can enjoy the rest of your day to the full. 

At first glance, our prices might raise a few eyebrows, as we are not necessarily cheap. But there's a good reason for this: we don't want to be ‘cheap’ at all. Our philosophy: a sporting activity can only be exciting, enjoyable and safe if the quality is right. And above all, this quality has a value.

In order to avoid accidents on the piste, on the bike or in the mountains, every single item is critically checked before it is issued, updated or, in case of doubt, withdrawn from circulation. We employ several teams of trained specialists for this purpose. After sports articles are returned, they are categorically checked in, where we leave no stone unturned. This is the only way we can fulfil our quality promise.

‘Not wanting to be cheap’ in no way means ‘being expensive’ across the board. On the contrary: numerous discount schemes significantly reduce our price scales, for example for hire periods of 3 days or more. Here, too, we are well in line with reality. Of course, you can hire a complete set of ski equipment for a single day. And we promise you a lot of fun on our slopes! However, the service costs are then spread over just this one, single day. And that's why we give a part of it back if you hire sports equipment for a longer period. Fair is fair, right?
